NATIONAL CONCERNS:

NATIONAL CONCERNS;

India today is weak, demoralized and surrounded by enemies; not friends. The credit goes to the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. We must think how China has developed and become so strong in last sixty years and we have become so weak that we can not even face Pakistan. I think one of the main reasons is that China has no cast and religion and vote bank politics; other is less or no scams and corruption like in India. China has created strong military force whereas India has weakened and demoralized its defense forces. Political and defense analysts can find some more causes. The unfortunate thing for India is that this great nation is governed by corrupt and unpatriotic political leadership and worst of all the UPA who have been busy in dividing and looting this nation in all possible ways all these years. The followers of all religions can live in peace and harmony if their respective political and religious leaders educate them to live like that. That is a big IF in our cast and corruption ridden polity. I think it should be mandatory to include in the syllabus one chapter on patriotism and another on good religious teachings that unite the communities and nation from class one to class twelve.

This is high time that all the political and religious leaders decide to fight and support elections on development and national issues and not on vote bank politics. Some genuine Indian beyond dynastic ambitions who can unite India and not divide it on cast, religion and vote bank politics has to be voted to power in the next elections. Whatever the opponents of Modi may say, there is none except him who fits-in to lead the nation. There are several others like Gen. V K Singh, Arvind Kejriwal, Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev who are patriots, honest with a genuine desire to give clean governance to Indian public. They should join hands before the polls to defeat the present government. They along with their candidates should be voted to power.

Whatever BJP can say, they have been branded as communalists by all other parties for the sake of their vote bank politics. BJP through their cadre should convince the masses about this misleading propaganda of the pseudo secular parties. Why BJP is shy to openly UNITE the Hindus? Sikhs, Jains, Budhists, are originally from the Hindu religion or way of life. Dalits, OBCs, SC/ST are also Hindus. Time has changed since centuries back and so have they now progressing like others. But they stand divided today; they must be united on one Hindu plank because they are basically Hindus and form the majority of this nation. This would go a long way in getting absolute majority in lok Sabha. We must fight Modi bashing and Hindu bashing and oust the corrupt, inept, pseudo secularist and anti national UPA government by all means.

 MODI BASHING:

If Modi says “I am Hindu nationalist” what is wrong in that? Is he not a Hindu who loves his country like any other and thus a nationalist? Any Sibbu, Diggu, Tiwu, Chidu, Rahu, ketu; I mean any Tom, Dick and Harry is free to say that he is creating divide in polity by using the word Hindu. Some think he should have said “Indian nationalist”. Where the men like those have personally abandoned their cast and religion and “declared” themselves as Indian nationalists? And how can they? They have to garner votes on cast, minority and religion basis. Had Modi said so, they would have bashed him by saying that he is trying to associate himself with Indian national congress or some other party having the word national. Weirdo has weird logic. Some are doing overtime to get over their Modi phobia by finding their own meanings in what Modi says; just to misguide the unsuspecting poor public. That way they are ridiculing all Hindus who call themselves nationalists. Why can’t they issue a fatwa against Hindus and Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists not to call themselves nationalists as such? Do we in India have to speak the language of the ruling coterie? Freedom of speech now seems to be at stake? If religion and cast are creating conflicts, violence and wars why not eliminate them by consensus or law? Not possible; eliminate the selfish perpetrators.

 HINDU BASHING AND PSEUDO SECULARISM:

Now after 67 years of independence stop this dirty divisive vote bank minority pampering and majority Hindu bashing policy. The government that cheats on majority and does not look after their interests being the original majority inhabitants and citizens of the land has no business to rule and govern the nation. The Hindu-biased rules and policies of the government are nothing less than anti national. There are different laws to govern the followers of different religions in India; Like Hindu and Muslim marriage laws; Muslims can marry and keep four wives but not Hindus; temple donations can be confiscated by govt and used or misused for any other purpose but not wakfboard and Muslim organization donations etc … etc. Please answer these questions for yourself! (TAKEN FROM SOME CIRCULATING E-MAIL):-

There are nearly 52 Muslim countries. Show one Muslim country where Hindus are extended the special rights that Muslims are accorded in India? Show one country where the 85% majority craves for the indulgence of the 15% minority. Show one Muslim country, which has a Non-Muslim as its President or Prime Minister. Show one Mullah or Maulvi who has declared a 'fatwa' against Muslim terrorists. Hindu majority Maharashtra, Bihar, Kerala, Pondicherry , etc. have in the past elected Muslims as CM’s, Can you ever imagine a Hindu becoming the CM of Muslim - majority J&K? In 1947, when India was partitioned, the Hindu population in Pakistan was about 24% ….Today it is not even 1%. In 1947, the Hindu population in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) was 30% …. Today it is about 7%. What happened to the missing Hindus? Do Hindus have human rights? In contrast, in India, Muslim population has gone up from 10.4% in 1951 to about 18% and in some states 30% today; …whereas Hindu population has come down from 87.2% in 1951 to 80% now. Do you still think that Hindus are fundamentalists? In India today Hindus are 80%. If Hindus are intolerant, how come Masjids and madrasas are thriving? How come Muslims are offering Namaz on the road? How come Muslims are proclaiming 5 times a day on loud speakers that there is no God except Allah? When Hindus gave to Muslims 30% of Bharat for a song, why should Hindus now beg for their sacred places at Ayodhya, Mathura And Kashi? Why Gandhi objected to the decision of the cabinet and insisted that Somnath Temple should be reconstructed out of public fund, not government funds. When in January 1948 he pressurized Nehru and Patel to carry on renovation of the Mosques of Delhi at government expenses? Why Gandhi supported Khilafat Movement (nothing to do with our freedom movement) and what in turn did he get? If Muslims & Christians are minorities in Maharashtra, UP, Bihar etc., are Hindus not minorities in J&K, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya etc? Why Hindus are denied minority rights in these states?

When Haj pilgrims are given subsidy, why Hindu pilgrims to Amarnath, Sabarimalai & Kailash Mansarovar are taxed? When Christian and Muslim schools can teach Bible and Quran, ……Why Hindus cannot teach Gita or Ramayan in our schools? Do you admit that
Hindus do have problems that need to be recognized? Or do you think that those who call themselves Hindus are themselves The problem? Why post - Godhra is blown out of proportion, when no-one talks of the ethnic cleansing of 4 lakh Hindus from Kashmir and political inaction and inordinate delay on 1984 riots? Why temple funds are spent for the welfare of Muslims and Christians, when they are free to spend their money in any way they like? When uniform is made compulsory for school children, why there is no Uniform Civil Code for citizens? In what way, J&K is different from Maharashtra, TamilNadu or UttarPradesh, to have Article 370? Abdul Rehman Antuley was made a trustee of the famous Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai ….Can a Hindu - say Mulayam or Laloo – ever become a trustee of a Masjid or Madrasa?
This is not prepared by me for any political party or group; these are the verifiable observations & Facts......

TERRORISM:

All Muslims are not terrorists but by and large all terrorists are Muslims. It is accepted all over the world that the genesis of Jehadi or Islamic terrorism lies in some of the teachings of Holy Quran. Why those lines, if they really teach hatred against other religions can not be deleted or banned from teaching anywhere? Why IM, LeT and other terrorist organizations in India can not be banned and their operatives put behind the bars and punished when the government knows well who the perpetrators are? They only beat around the bush and do nothing concrete. Bihar government is finding solution to Bodhgaya temple blasts by banning small gas cylinders as if blasts can be done only in small cylinders. Shout “snake” “snake”; do not kill it; beat around the bush; there is no snake! Be satisfied; the problem is over; busy time for coming elections; Modi is on our head; we shall wake up on the next blast or another attack and condemn the terrorists in the strongest words and announce dole of lakhs of rupees for the dead and wounded “mango people”; they will keep quite; public has short memory; oh with great efforts and at great cost of public money and repeated beatings from our enemies we have been able to convince the world that India is a tolerant nation; let us live with this reputation; we in VIP security are and will be safe for ever; let the aam aadmi cry or die!!!.

Can national security be pawned for the sake of votes? Type “Moughalistan” in Google search, click and see what Islamic fundamentalists are doing to the world and India in particular. Is the government ignorant of this? If not then why don’t they take any action? If it is false then prove it, so that people stop believing in such websites.

Common man of any religion does not want war and violence. It is all created by those who want power; the politicians. Muslims have been living in India since centuries and most of the times in peace with others. It is their country as good as that of others. Lessons on patriotism and to live in love and peace should be taught in “madarsas” and all schools from class one to class twelve. Politicians should not play the game of divide and rule; vote bank politics; minority appeasement and majority neglect. They should be fair to all. It is time to think if the Presidential system of governance is more suitable to India in the present circumstances or to bring someone who has no family affiliations; dynastic ambitions; is honest, not corrupt and committed to make the nation strong and developed in real sense.

Narendra Modi should be voted to power. Honest men like V K Singh, Kejriwal, Baba Ramdev, Anna Hazare and like minded people should join hands to defeat the corrupt and inept politicians in the coming elections.

RAPE MENACE:

Wholesale change and transformation of the system in its entirety will take much time and the intensity and urgency for immediate action to assuage the anger would be lost. Government keeps ordering commissions of inquiries which dilute or put the issues in cold storage. That they have done in this case also. People whose daughters and sisters are not raped would sit in such commissions and decide to frame moderate laws keeping human right activists in front to save the rapists and murderers sitting in the governance. They can not realize the trauma that the victims and their families go through. Govt. must give a try to include victim’s relatives in such commissions.

All this system reforms can take time. When medicines do not work surgery is required. An ordinance can be passed now announcing capital punishment for rape to assuage the anger of the public at large and as a concrete step to stop this menace. “Rapists will be hanged” should be given wide publicity like tobacco ads against cancer are being given these days. Fear of loosing life would control the lust. Nothing less will do as we have seen during all these years after independence. Fear is to be created in the mind of such criminals who are a negligible percentage of the population spoiling the society and can be written off. Mad dogs are not and need not be treated. They must be eliminated. Our government should take lessons from the countries where such offences are nil or negligible.

The spree of rapes and molestations is not stopping even when country wide protests and demonstrations are going on. Fifty two rapes have been reported since 16 December and we do not know how many have gone unreported. Even after government’s assurances that necessary steps would be taken, the protesters in large numbers are marching towards India Gate on 27th December. This is because the public has lost confidence in the governance and fed up with the assurance and promises. Some abroad may be wondering Delhi is the rape capital of India or India is the rape country?

Govt. has done one good thing in sending the victim to Singapore for treatment along with her family. It is high time for the government to restore public confidence and give commitment in the form of an ordinance or announcement by the PM about exact actions they are going to take and stop being vague. Meanwhile let us keep praying for the safe recovery of the brave girl.

TIME FOR CHANGE:

After one week of public out cry on the Delhi girl rape on 16 Dec Mr. Singh the chief executive of our great nation could make up his “mann” and break his “maun” by reading meekly a written statement by someone which he always does, that the anger of the protesters is legitimate but violence is not; forgetting that anger if not doused on the out set would turn into violence making it legitimate. Violence is the expression of pent up anger. After so much of hue and cry it was expected that the PM or HM would come out to meet the protesters personally and give a sympathetic hearing. That would have assuaged their anger; but no. And see the TV coverage and decide who was violent, the police or the protesters? The young and old ladies were beaten and water cannoned on the coldest day and night of December so far; a DIG stamping the neck of a young boy; policemen hitting girls and all. This only displays apathy towards public concerns and confused mind of our “rulers” though they are supposed to be Janta Ke Sevak. The weaker gender of any and every age is being raped every day in Delhi, NCR and all over the country for years and years. The menace has not stopped even during last one week’s turmoil. The government have not taken strong steps to stop that and allowed this stage to come when the public is out on streets. The high ups do not care because they, their daughters and families live under top security; they do not travel in buses and some if not many with charges of rape and murders are sitting in Parliament instead of jail. Fear is to be created in the mind of the criminal. Let us hope that the law is amended to give capital punishment to the rapist and award of justice is not delayed.

Crumbling law and order situation, corruption from top to bottom, scams after scams of lakhs of crores, swindling the national wealth and stashing black money outside unconcerned with the safety and security of the country and its citizens, turning blind eye to population explosion and illegal influx from neighboring countries; we all under our corrupt leadership are living in a failing democracy. Time has come to elect honest representatives and change the present rotten political-bureaucratic governance to save our democracy. Aam Aadmi Party is the only hope. Read their ideology/manifesto on their website and decide for yourself. Meanwhile God bless the nation.

CREATE FEAR IN THE MIND OF THE CRIMINALS:
“City shamed; Girl gang raped in bus in South Delhi”: “victim is on ventilator and struggling for life”; electronic and print media screaming for action, all blaming law and its executors; have we not felt this anguish in the past? the pain and anger is too much this time!

Public and parliamentarians are demanding stern laws and suggesting measures to control the menace. TOI has come up with suggestions like chemical castration, Sensitizing Police, setting up fast track courts, better patrolling, use of technology and creating database of transport Personnel, verification of drivers, cleaners etc? Most of these are being done but of little results. Human mind is unpredictable. Who will commit rape and murder where and when can not be always forecasted or made known to the police.

Sex is not down there, it is in the mind and so is the crime. Such a criminal mind will find other ways to commit crimes if left after a little or more punishment. Ninety five thousand rape cases are said to be pending in courts. At an average of two rapes a day in Delhi and ten in NCR are committed on records. How many courts, how many lawyers and how much efforts it will take to catch and punish the guilty? How effective are the present fast track courts to dispose them off? Out of 80000 only 25000 cops are on roads as reported by TOI, why? What is actually meant by better patrolling? Stopping every vehicle and checking thus causing harassment to public in general and multiplying the already existing chaos on the roads; GPS on buses, cars, cc TV on roads?

Let us not beat around the bush when we know where the snake is. The present law and its implementation are weak and ineffective. The main cause is that there is no fear in the mind of the criminal. He knows that he can get off after committing the crime.  It is time to take drastic actions to deter the criminal. Kill the snake; kill the mad dogs polluting the society. Such people are very few in the civilized society. Eliminate them. It will not affect the society in any other way but ensuring safety to the law abiding citizens and women of the country and a clean society. Instead of experimenting learn from countries like Saudi Arabia where offences of rape are not heard. I wholeheartedly agree with Sushma Swaraj asking the rapist to be hanged and Salman Khan asking death sentence for all rapists adding that as a norm the rapist if goes to jail should be beaten till death. It is high time their sentiments and appeals are translated into law.

The nation has suddenly woken up to the menace of rape meanwhile Delhi is living with its reputation of rape capital.

SUPREME COURT IS APPALED BY “LYNCHING LIKE” DEATH PENALTY:

TOI on 12 Dec 2012 reported that the Supreme Court is deeply distressed and displeased while censuring a Tamil Nadu trial court for awarding death penalty to a person accused in a dacoity-cum-murder case as a deterrent to eliminate crime from society. SC is of the opinion that;

A). Trial court’s judgment is Lynching-like, meaning killing some one for an alleged offence with out legal trial especially by hanging. Does it mean that the trial by the lower Court was illegal or the sentence beyond the ambit of law? NO.
B). Trial Court has imported American or Arabian criminal jurisprudence to support and justify their judgment. Does our law not permit the sentence given by the trial court? Has the court gone beyond the limits of our established laws? NO.
C). Trial Court has imposed death sentence under section 396 of IPC to create fear among criminals who commit such crimes. SC is of the opinion that according to Indian jurisprudence life sentence was the norm and death sentence an exception. If it is allowed by law, let it be an exception then?

The judgment is given by the trial court in accordance with the laws of the land. That may seem harsh to the SC. After all it is a matter of opinion? Who knows if the same trial court judge was sitting in SC and had given the same judgment, it would have been lauded as a land mark judgment?

We should not forget that the criminal laws governing us were framed hundreds of years back by British in a very different environment than what is prevailing now. Heinous crimes like rape that too of innocent girls of below ten years and murders at the present rate were not heard those days. Now in NCR alone there are on average ten reported rapes and murders every day and robberies and dacoities are normal affair. High and low level corruption is rampant. Criminals roam around freely on bail even if they are caught. They loot, kill and rape at will. They have no fear of law.

FEAR IS TO BE CREATED IN THE MIND OF THE CRIMINALS. IN THE PRESENT SENARIO DEATH SENTENCE SHOULD BE GIVEN AS A RULE AND NOT AS AN EXCEPTION. SHALL WE DO SOME THING TO SAVE OURSELVES OR ONLY PRAY GOD?

Anna flip-flops:

As reported on 2nd Dec 12 by TOI, Anna Hazare had retracted from his early stand drifting from kejriwal, to support the good candidates put up by his Party and not to support the “good” candidates of other parties. That drift was in the right direction. Supporting the “good” candidates of other parties by Anna in the fight against corruption would be self defeating the combined cause of Anna and Kejriwal as it is abundantly clear now by the revelations of Kejriwal that all the parties are corrupt. Their “good” candidates would listen to their parties and not to Anna once they are elected and all the efforts of Anna in getting them elected would go waste. Now on 7 Dec 12 TOI reports that in yet another flip-flop activist Anna Hazare blamed Arvind Kejriwal’s “fascination” for power for the split in the anti-graft movement and said that he won’t vote for “power greedy” Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He did not clarify as to what makes him think that Kejriwal is power hungry and not true to the cause of Corruption. Has he not seen the manifesto on A A P web site and listened Kejriwal’s speech, plan of action and videos clarifying his party’s stand? Kejriwal is on record saying that he would not fight election if the Jan Lokpal is passed by the government. Did the government listen to Anna, Ramdev and Kejriwal’s pleas against corruption? He decided to fight elections because their strategy to fight from out side was not working effectively. In democracy power lies in the Parliament and you have to be there to be heard and do something meaningful which you can not do effectively by slogan shouting from the streets or supporting “honest” candidates of other parties. Anna’s movement is fading out; masses were thinning in the rallies and “dharnas” because people can not leave their jobs and attend this sort of activities indefinitely.

Anna told Kejriwal “not to use my name, my poster and refrain from using India Against Corruption” portal. He with due respect to Annaji did that and took concrete steps to form and promote his political Aam Aadmi Party of honest representatives.  This has put him in the limelight.  Perhaps Annaji is finding side-tracked and thus this flip-flop. Anna’s “I” and “My”; and ego are creating a drift and weakening the joint efforts of Kejriwal, Ramdev and Civil Society to fight corruption for which they initially came together on one platform. It is high time for Annaji to discard his ego and support Kejriwal whole heartedly. Ramdev should join hands.

TIME TO ACT

My kudos to Kejriwal, Ramdev and Anna Team: To achieve his aim of corruption free India kejriwal/Ramdev’s partieshave to win majority seats in the Parliament: How will they do it is not clear. It is not likely that they would get absolute majority in Parliament. I think Anna, Ramdev, Kejriwal and some new influential and honest individuals like Gen. VK Singh who are entering into politics on the plank of anti corruption should join hands, drop their differences, get elected and form an alliance to save India from the unscrupulous looters. Even if they get 100 MPs, they can make their presence felt. These parties and honest individuals with no corruption and criminal stigma attached would have better chance to win. But in Indian politics cast and money play great role. How will they deal with that is to be seen? Perhaps they would have to find honest chaps at village/grass root level in the cast dominating constituencies? All the political parties are corrupt though having a few honest ones also. In the present scenario where Kejriwal has opened front against all the political parties and corporate houses, they may join hands against Kejriwal/Ramdev’s parties to save themselves from prosecution at a later date by the strong Jan Lokpal Bill which the new parties would like to pass after coming to power.  Political parties other than the UPA should work to topple the UPA now taking advantage of the corruption wave against it and form a new alliance on the plank of anti corruption, may be with Kejriwal/ramdev’s parties after elections. Politicians are known to be strange bed fellows after all.

Kejriwal has declared that he will form his party in November 2012. Meanwhile he is revealing scandal after scandals every week thus creating awareness in public of the massive loot of national wealth and tax payer’s money by a few and embarrassing the concerned politicians, corporate houses and powerful individuals. In the process he is making powerful enemies also though gaining the sympathy of the masses. This may be a dangerous but good strategy for a short period if elections are held within next six months. In the long run, till 2014 if he keeps repeating this, people may get bored in absence of concrete follow up and loose interest as all this would become a routine and one or two days news for the benefit of the electronic and print media and a little talking point or gossip for the day. He must be aware that mass memory is short. Politicians know better than I. Time is short; he has to move fast. Meanwhile let us look forward for a better democracy.
